We are Oscar and Anna and three years ago we moved from London to Malta. As children and teenagers we used to play tennis and compete at a fairly high level. Oscar has won several youth competitions in is days and Anna has trained as a tennis coach and worked with youngster to prepare them for the competition of all competitions on the green grass of the All English Tennis Club of Wimbledon.
When we moved to Malta we were very keen to keep up our tennis practice and emerged ourselves in the tennis culture of Malta. We were very pleased to find out that is possible to play tennis all year round, although in summer it is wise to play early in the morning or in the evening, as it will be too hot during the day.
However during other seasons, even in winter, the temperatures are ideal for playing any time of the day. The only issues that could spoil an outdoor game is occasional rain and fierce winds in winter, but then you can always escape to an indoor venue.
We would like everyone who visits Malta or lives here and who would love to engage in a game of tennis, to know where they need to be, so they too can contribute to Malta’s tennis culture and help keeping the game alive on the Maltese Isles.
